Mia & Rhett Watching the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta 2003

Surrounded by her three children and their families in the home Jerry, aka Mia, built with her husband, Alvin Luther Burns, who preceded her in death, courageously walked toward her creator April 21, 2004, at 6:33 AM. Jerry blessed this earth with her many gifts and her creativity gave birth to a legacy of artists. Her oldest son, Doreman Burns, and his wife, Sheri Burns, are professional artists living in Corrales, NM. Doreman and Sheri's two children, Downe Burns and Breck Gorman are both professional artists as well. Downe is a visual artist as well as a recording artist with two CD's to his credit. Glee Hare Burns, Jerry's second child, graduated with an art degree from Texas Tech University. The youngest of three children, Rhett, began working as a professional artist when he was a teenager. Jerry will be deeply missed.
